Project Description

We were responsible for the entire front-end part of the application.

Our frontend development team, was responsible for the entire frontend of the MVP application . They had a very high level of decision-making in this area. They abandoned Vuex in favor of Composable Architecture and created a logic layer replacing the external store with an internal one.

They designed the communication with the backend and atomized the application to keep the components as small as possible, as well as their responsibility.

Challenges

Within a short span, we had to redo a major part of the error-filled application to make the launch successful. The principal issues stemmed from the flawed communication model utilized among the application’s components. This involved a wrongly implemented external store, Vuex, which was incredibly intricate, featuring actions with upwards of 100 lines of code, committing numerous mutations simultaneously, and riddled with duplication. Our solution was to transition to the capabilities provided by the composition API, leveraging hooks and appropriate composition.

Approach & Results

We overhauled a substantial portion of the application, integrated a Storybook for handling UI components , and instituted typing by converting files to TypeScript. Furthermore, we developed numerous new features and eliminated the majority of the issues that initially plagued the application. This comprehensive effort led us to a successful release with a stable version of the software.
