Era uma vez uma mercado<\/a> sem qualquer otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o AdX. Depois apareceu o Yieldbird e mudou a realidade de muitos editores. Como \u00e9 que isso aconteceu? Fal\u00e1mos com Greg Kubrakiewicz, Diretor de Tecnologia do Yieldbird, que nos explica como a coopera\u00e7\u00e3o com a Codest tornou poss\u00edvel a 16\u00aa posi\u00e7\u00e3o na lista da Deloitte 'Technology Fast 50 Europa Central<\/a>\u2018.<\/p>\n

Como \u00e9 que nasceu esta ideia?<\/h2>\n

Greg Kubrakiewicz: Tudo come\u00e7ou com o Adtaily, que permitia aos pequenos anunciantes, como cabeleireiros ou hot\u00e9is, colocar os seus an\u00fancios em portais maiores nos s\u00edtios regionais da Gazeta.pl. A rede de an\u00fancios Adtaily estava a trabalhar com eles. Entretanto, Marcin Ekiert e Piotrek Niedziela, inspirados por Fredrik, come\u00e7aram a jogar do lado do editor com as defini\u00e7\u00f5es do AdX e repararam que, desta forma, conseguiam ganhar mais dinheiro com eles. Isso tamb\u00e9m estava relacionado com o facto de todo o dinheiro no mercado program\u00e1tico vir dos anunciantes.<\/p>\n

Na altura, toda a program\u00e1tica se centrava na fonte de dinheiro do lado dos compradores, o mercado era apertado, a concorr\u00eancia era grande. Com base nos conhecimentos adquiridos, cri\u00e1mos o Yield Optimization e, durante v\u00e1rios anos, fomos adquirindo cada vez mais experi\u00eancia em muitos mercados.<\/p>\n

O passo seguinte foi uma tentativa de escrever software que automatizasse e melhorasse todos estes conceitos de duas formas: ou automatizando e aumentando a escala, ou utilizando algoritmos mais complexos que ser\u00e3o melhores do que um humano.<\/p>\n

Como \u00e9 que o processo de implementa\u00e7\u00e3o funcionou?<\/h2>\n

Demorou algum tempo a encontrar uma forma de o automatizar, a conhecer o processo, a forma como funciona, a inventar algumas formas de o fazer e a informar os programadores da Codest sobre isso, para que pudessem produzir uma ferramenta que criasse valor acrescentado. E depois foi como um efeito de bola de neve, espalhou-se, tivemos cada vez mais ideias sobre o que otimizar.<\/p>\n

Mais tarde, cri\u00e1mos toda uma classe de produtos, ou seja, um inv\u00f3lucro que automatizava realmente processos como a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de configura\u00e7\u00f5es para editores. As configura\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o constru\u00e7\u00f5es que ajudam estes editores a aumentar os lucros atrav\u00e9s do aumento da procura, sendo necess\u00e1rio que o editor instale javascript<\/a> c\u00f3digos, integrar com o s\u00edtio. Foi bastante complicado, principalmente devido ao Javascript c\u00f3digo<\/a> que tem de ser integrado num s\u00edtio Web, e nem todos os editores disp\u00f5em dos seus pr\u00f3prios recursos de desenvolvimento. Para al\u00e9m disso, as barreiras lingu\u00edsticas e culturais com os editores podem constituir um grande obst\u00e1culo. Por conseguinte, era evidente que precis\u00e1vamos que a Codest criasse uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00e1cil e intuitiva produto<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Como \u00e9 que o mercado acolheu a Yieldbird?<\/h2>\n

O mercado dos editores, o fornecedor de espa\u00e7o publicit\u00e1rio, estava bastante vazio, n\u00e3o havia produtos dedicados a estes editores. Assim, a ideia de otimizar o espa\u00e7o publicit\u00e1rio funcionou. A fase seguinte foi a ideia de um servi\u00e7o que ajudaria os editores a ganhar mais com o espa\u00e7o publicit\u00e1rio e a exercer mais press\u00e3o sobre os anunciantes.<\/p>\n

Alguns foram bem-vindos n\u00f3s<\/a> A maioria dos clientes era muito calorosa, pois queriam realmente ganhar mais dinheiro, mas alguns eram muito desconfiados ou n\u00e3o lhes consegu\u00edamos explicar do que se tratava. A barreira da compreens\u00e3o \u00e9 bastante grande, porque n\u00e3o se trata de um produto f\u00e1cil ou barato. Cada editor tem uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o diferente e uma configura\u00e7\u00e3o diferente, e \u00e9 por isso que os nossos produtos s\u00e3o feitos \u00e0 medida e crescem em conjunto com os nossos editores.<\/p>\n
