Asynchronn\u00ed programov\u00e1n\u00ed je programovac\u00ed paradigma, kter\u00e9 umo\u017e\u0148uje efektivn\u00ed prov\u00e1d\u011bn\u00ed neblokuj\u00edc\u00edch operac\u00ed. Zjednodu\u0161en\u011b \u0159e\u010deno, umo\u017e\u0148uje programu prov\u00e1d\u011bt v\u00edce \u00faloh sou\u010dasn\u011b, ani\u017e by se \u010dekalo na dokon\u010den\u00ed ka\u017ed\u00e9 \u00falohy, ne\u017e se p\u0159ejde k dal\u0161\u00ed. Tento p\u0159\u00edstup je u\u017eite\u010dn\u00fd zejm\u00e9na v situac\u00edch, kdy program pot\u0159ebuje prov\u00e1d\u011bt \u00falohy, kter\u00e9 jsou \u010dasov\u011b n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00e9 nebo vy\u017eaduj\u00ed vstupn\u00ed\/v\u00fdstupn\u00ed operace.<\/p>\n

Tradi\u010dn\u011b se programy psaly synchronn\u00edm p\u0159\u00edstupem, kdy se jednotliv\u00e9 \u00falohy prov\u00e1d\u011bly postupn\u011b, jedna po druh\u00e9. Tento p\u0159\u00edstup m\u016f\u017ee b\u00fdt neefektivn\u00ed a pomal\u00fd, zejm\u00e9na pokud se jedn\u00e1 o \u00falohy, kter\u00e9 vy\u017eaduj\u00ed velk\u00fd v\u00fdpo\u010detn\u00ed v\u00fdkon nebo zahrnuj\u00ed \u010dek\u00e1n\u00ed na odezvu extern\u00edch zdroj\u016f.
